Donn Slovachek (Slov) has been diving since 2005, and after his first 200 dives became an SSI Open Water Instructor in 2008. Slov also teaches the American Heart Association First Aid and CPR courses, and is a DES Diver Alert Network Instructor for the DAN provider courses, as well as a DAN referral physician. He is currently working on becoming an instructor for the SSI specialty courses and hopes to be certified to teach most of those by the end of 2009. He is employed by St. Mary’s Physician Network as a board certified OB/GYN physician. When not working or teaching scuba diving, he enjoys riding his Harley Road King, playing on the computer, or hanging out at home with his wife, Sharon, and their 3 dogs. You’ll often find Slov on the Aquatech dive trips when on vacation.
